Planning, Management & Development Department is the apex advisory and executive body of ACAIED Nepal for formulating annual action plan and policies to govern itself as well as make intensive research and investigation to advocate economic policies to government.

It serves as a central agency for monitoring and evaluating development plans, policies and programs. It does macro level studies on different macro-economic variables and indicators that may support to the government to its national level projects.

PMDD will support government for sustainable economic development by maintaining peace and justice with the allocation of resources and its management.

Its’ organizing agencies stimulates & facilitates defined programs of social, economic progress with a purpose of fair distribution of national resources to make change positive and possible.

The role and scope of this department include but is not limited to the following areas:

• Administration of policies, programs, projects to serve resources allocation and development purpose.
• Implement programs to bring modernity, progress and changes within the administrative systems which increase its efficiency.
• The efforts to carry out programs designed to change physical, human, cultural environment that supports the government to enlarge its capacity.
• The art or science of innovation and risk-taking for profit in business.
• DPMD tries to reduce uncertainty and risks and secures on the fact that supports focus & attention on objectives by effective planning.
• Provides guidelines for decision-making through the increase in organizational effectiveness and help in co-ordination and facilitates control to its other departments as well as government and private business house.
